The Union State Bank is a vital part of the Olsburg and Randolph communities. The Union State Bank of Cleburne was originally housed in a frame bank building in the town of Cleburne, Kansas. A fire in the original bank building destroyed numerous early records and soon after the fire, the bank moved into a stately stone building which had been vacated by the failed Cleburne State Bank.
In 1960, the bank’s charter was moved from Cleburne to Olsburg after the US Army Corp of Engineers decided to build Tuttle Creek Dam to control flood waters. Towns and farms were either moved to higher ground or destroyed.
The Union State Bank has been at its current location just off Highway 16 since it was built in 1960 and our branch location was added in Randolph in 2005. The bank is not only a place of business, but a gathering spot where people come in to check the bulletin board or just to visit. We are proud of our service to the community and our long-standing relationships with our customers. We offer a full range of banking services and are proud to be an independently and locally owned hometown bank.
Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow. That is our pledge to you, our valued customers.
